Mission and Core Values
Cape Fear Christian Academy seeks to prepare leaders for tomorrow by providing a program of academic excellence in a Christian environment.
Cape Fear Christian Academy provides area students from early childhood through college preparatory years an outstanding education by nurturing students to become spiritually mature Christians and instilling confidence through leadership and mission opportunities.
Cape Fear Christian Academy values and offers:
We believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (Timothy 3:16)
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30)
We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Hebrews 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25, I Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return in power and Glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11).
We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature; and that men are justified on the ground of faith alone for salvation (John 3:16-19, John 5:24, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, and I Titus 3:5).
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:2-28).
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling in the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life (Romans 8:13-14, I Corinthians 3:16, I Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30, 5:18).
We believe in the personal and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this “blessed hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer (I Thessalonians 4:13-8).
The educational process in a Christian school is dependent on a biblical philosophy that provides the right worldview and essential truths for life so that children may be prepared to assume their proper place in the home, the church, and the State. Accordingly, the following is the purpose and philosophy of education for Cape Fear Christian Academy: Cape Fear Christian Academy’s purpose and philosophy is to provide a Christian based education for its students. The Academy shall provide an environment concerned with the total growth and development of the individual. Our emphasis shall be academic excellence in a Christian environment. Home, church, and school should complement each other in promoting the student’s spiritual, academic, social and physical growth.
While the student is at the school, the headmaster and teacher(s) stand in the place of the parents, which is one of authority and responsibility. Thus, it is incumbent upon the Headmaster and every teacher and coach to possess and model moral values based on Christian principles and to reflect a genuine concern for the total development of the student(s) under their care. It is a goal of the Academy to meet the needs of its students by providing academically superior programs. Accomplishing this requires a blend of Bible Study, prayer, and extracurricular activities that promote love for God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as well as a love for our country.
