Prospective Parents

FIRST CHOICE IN CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Cape Fear Christian Academy was founded in 1969 as a liberal arts Christian academy.  Cape Fear Christian Academy is a first choice school for Christian education for parents in which parents, the Church, and the Academy work together to prepare the hearts of students from preschool through upper school.  Grounded in Christian education, Cape Fear Christian Academy values a rigorous curriculum, exposure to advanced technologies, fine arts, healthy sportsmanship, and community outreach.

Cape Fear Christian Academy expects appropriate behavior from all students by their following the rules and conducting themselves as Christian ladies and gentlemen.  Demeaning and bullying behavior will not be tolerated.  Cape Fear Christian Academy is not the appropriate choice for families that have exhausted all options to solve behavioral issues.

PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES

The Academy is grateful for its supportive community and looks forward to welcoming new families each year to the Cape Fear Christian Academy family. The Academy has a rolling admission policy and processes completed applications as space is available. The applicant is responsible for ensuring that all steps in the application process are completed. Applications will be considered for admission only after all required documentation (Step 1) has been received by the Academy.

Siblings of current students will be given priority. However, reasonable content mastery (80%) of the assessment is crucial for entry into CFCA. Potential Kindergarten enrollees should be able to:

  • Write their name independently
  • Identify Colors
  • Identify Shapes
  • Identify Numbers 1-20
  • Write Numbers 1-10
  • Recognize upper and lowercase letters.
  • Identify letter sounds

All other grade-level entrance assessments are also important in meeting entrance requirements to CFCA in addition to academic records, discipline records, and letters of recommendation. Assessment content is based on grade-level curriculum expectations.
